What is Evergreen Festival?
Evergreen Festival is a four-week holiday festival that allows guests to enjoy safe, walkable outdoor experiences along the Halifax waterfront and throughout downtown Halifax. Guests will be able to support local businesses, artists and good causes while safely celebrating the season.
It includes the Evergreen Market featuring more than Nova Scotia makers, creators, artists and businesses.
Evergreen Stage performances, hosted by Jazz East Rising.
Evergreen Bright is a collection of light installations throughout downtown Halifax and along the waterfront.
Local restaurants are opening their patios and offering warming soups and festive drinks to-go throughout the Festival as part of Evergreen Soups & Sips.
Halifax hotels have created Evergreen Getaways; festive hotel packages for an overnight stay after exploring the Festival, or a full holiday weekend!
Where will the festival take place?
The Evergreen Festival will be spread out among numerous locations along the Halifax waterfront and throughout downtown Halifax, the Spring Garden Area, downtown Dartmouth, and beyond.

When does the festival take place?
Evergreen Festival runs from Friday, November 26 through Sunday, December 19, 2021.
Evergreen Bright light installations will be illuminated nightly for the duration of the Festival, lighting up downtown Halifax for the full four weeks of the Evergreen Festival.
There are a number of events taking place at various business locations throughout downtown Halifax, Dartmouth, the North End, and the Quinpool Road area - check the Evergreen Events page for details on specific events.
What COVID-19 protocols are in place?
The Festival organizers have consulted extensively with Nova Scotia Public Health and Communities, Culture and Heritage to ensure that all public health and safety guidelines and recommendations for safe outdoor gatherings are in place.
Each pod at the Evergreen Stage is physically distanced from the others.
Hand sanitizer and extra face masks will be available at the festival site.
